Izidora l LETHE is a conceptually-driven and material-oriented artist. LETHE’s work begins with the material, historic and social contexts of the places they engage with. Overlooked forms of knowledge and quiet solidarities that circulate despite impermeable-seeming structures shape the core of LETHE’s attention. LETHEs practice focusses on tacit knowledge; what finds its expressions through, for example, the body, what seeps through habitual gestures, letting us rethink how conventions operate, remain and diverge simultaneously.
LETHE’s practice materializes in site-responsive works that interconnect installation, print, video, drawing and writing, unfolding around politics of choreography.

LETHE has been nominated for the national Performance price (2025) and the Swiss Art Awards (2023) and received the merit-based full fellowship for their MFA studies at the San Francisco Art Institute among others and received both their BFA and her MFA with honors. LETHE is a BANFF Centre for the Arts resident (Banff, Canada, 2018), as well as an fellow of the New York Foundation for the Arts (NYFA, 2019) and BINZ39 studio resident (Zurich, 2022-24).
LETHE received their MFA at the San Francisco Art Institute (SFAI, 2017) and their BFA from Zürcher Hochschule der Künste (ZHdK, 2013), both with honors.
Transmitting their practice into educational frameworks, LETHE teaches critique seminars. art history and -theory as (visiting) faculty at the University of Washington (UW, Seattle, 2020), the San Francisco Art Institute (SFAI, 2017-2020), ETH Zürich Architektur und Kunst and currently as art docent for “Materiality and Digitality” at HSLU K++V Lucerne.

Izidora l LETHE ist ein:e transdisziplinäre und konzeptuelle Künstler:in. LETHE’s Praxis umfasst Skulptur, Choreographie und Video - begleitet von korrespondierenden Zeichnungs- und Schreibprozessen. LETHE’s recherche-basierte Arbeit orientiert sich an der Ausweitung von lückenhafter Geschichtsübermittlung und situiert den Körper als epistemologischer Ort und als Archiv des Wissens.
Izidora I LETHE's jüngste Ausstellungen fanden statt im Kunsthaus Zürich, der Kunsthalle Bielefeld (D), der Schweizer Nationalbibliothek (BE, CH), der Kunsthalle Zurich / Edition VFO (Löwenbräu, ZH), Werkschau (Haus Konstruktiv, ZH), COURONNE/KRONE (Biel) (2022), Leslie-Lohman Museum (New York City, 2021-22); Bass and Rainer Gallery (2021), The Contemporary Jewish Museum (CJM, San Francisco, 2019/20); Aggregate Space Gallery (Oakland, 2018) und dem De Young Museum (San Francisco, 2017). LETHE erhielt den Leistungsabhängigen 'full ride' fellowship für das Masterstudium in den USA, als auch den IMA-Fellowship der New York Foundation for the Arts (2018) und die unabhängige Artist Residency in BANFF, Centre for the Arts, Kanada (2018) und hält das BINZ39 Atelierstipendium (Zürich) (2022-24).
